Another magnificent season has come and gone but will not be forgotten. Despite work commitments, the travel bug and a scapula scandal, we still averaged 6 players each week.

Each season has its memorable and notable moments and 2018–19 was no exception:

• It was the year of the Macca confounding the pundits with most wins . . . and most NAGAs! . . . while, in between, notching up 4 Major wins including the prestigious Club Champion;
• Macca also produced yet another varied set of fixtures with Golden Putter on the move; North of the River and South of the River contests with gourmet lunches turned on by 'Manu' Joseph and 'Pete' Jackson; and a new Major as the Not the Burswood Trophy undergoes a resurrection;
• Rollercoaster Ronzo, in just 4 games this season, goes out one stroke in each of his first two games then comes in 2 strokes in each of his last two for 2 wins and a NAGA!
• Squancey set a Masters Jacket record winning score (41 points), appearing on the podium in 16 of 23 rounds;
• Little Master shone in the Match Play in an historic (first MP played at Mornington), impressive (needing to win 3 matches against quality opposition) and first Match Play win;
• Scobes was amongst the records winning the Consistency Award with the highest recorded score;
• Dalbs reached an eye-watering number – 400 games while Scobes sits on the precipice of 300. Our 11 members have played a total of 3,046 games!
• The easy rollin' Jacko out-muscled the usual Long Drive suspects with 8 for the season, a total last achieved by Walks in 2013–14;
• Brian continued to show how trips away can sharpen your game with impressive showings in the Joondalup Classic (3rd) and the Handicapper's Trophy (first) immediately after each return;
• When Walks wins, he takes no prisoners as his 24 points to win the President's Trophy and 41 pts to win the Joondalup Classic will testify!
• And last but not least, the magnificence of the 7th running of the Mornington Masters as Scobes' form guide, hailstones, boxed gold medallions, much fine dining, Julie and the "druggies house", grand courses in great condition, dodgy singing from song sheets, a draw for first place and a record winning score will testify. "The best Mornington Masters yet".

The season never really seems complete without the Allardice boys. But their time will come when it's meant to come and we all look eagerly forward to that time!
