SQUANCEY GETS THE MAIDEN
Another new tournament and another raging success. In golf, the Squancenator was the dominator, winning 3 of the 6 courses and going into the final round 9 points in the lead. With 39 points at The Cut he must've felt assured but was still looking nervous as The Little Master careered home with a sensational 46 points to fall 2 points shy. Macca proved too consistent for the rest to complete the maiden Masters podium. Les Gray and Phil Hipsley were in the leader mix early but were unable to play the 6 courses.
The golf had its highs (at Capel and The Cut) and lows (at Pinjarra) with course difficulty and occasionally the weather resulting in scores of 30 or more being achieved in just over one-third of games.
The social side was headed by the Black Tie Dinner followed by some magnificent home cooked culinary offerings and eating out firsts, including the Crooked Carrot and Old Coast Road Brewery.
