The title of Cultural Attache is the highest honour awarded by the GBWGC to non-financial members of the club. These appointments recognise meritorious service but they also represent the expanding nature of the GBWGC. These are not just awards but appointments of key individuals who have taken on the task of representing the club in various national and international forums.

  TERRY BRIDLE

Terry was the first staff appointment by the club after a period of membership in the club and his return to the home country. He has been a valuable member of the club and has shown admirable support by returning to participate in club events when he has been able to.
Despite some concerns about his ability to rig handicaps, he is a worthy and valuable member of this exclusive club. He donated the AGM Winter Trophy.

  GRAHAM AND SUE JACK

Graeme and Sue were appointed to their positions in 2008 in recognition of their outstanding support of, and hospitality during, the inaugural Mornington Masters. Their generosity was again a feature in the 2009 Mornington Masters. Sue's warm personality and hard work has made our members feel "at home" during our visits. Graeme, also the perfect host, has had a successful business career, is a keen golfer and is a member of a number of clubs on the Mornington Peninsula.

  JEFF CARLTON

Jeff was also appointed to the position of Cultural Attache to the ACT in 2008 in response to his attendance at, and support of, the inaugural Mornington Masters. He wasn't going to miss the 2009 event and acquitted himself well, especially in the wine tasting stakes! Jeff is another of the graciously retired ABS officers who has served with great distinction in the Perth and Canberra Offices. Although a relative newcomer to golf, his wide technical and managerial background with the ABS will provide great support to the GBWGC.
